Since Mulroney was the root cause of the formation of the Reform Party, you'll just have to take this celebration at face value.

So much for the Liberals conspiracy theories regarding the Tories being hijacked, by those lunatics from out west, who want to turn your children into religous automatons. I guess they can't stand the fact that the Tories are back to being one party again, since the main cause of the split no longer has any sway over the party.

Since I personally can't stand Mulroney, I think this is just a show piece to keep the old guard happy and keep dissension out of the ranks, before the next election, but hey that's just me. Maybe some of the old Reform Party members actually love the guy.

Yeah, Boots, I voted for him in '88 and I don't think that was wrong. It was a referendum on free trade and Mulroney represented the right platform. As voters, we didn't know about AirBus. We didn't know Mulroney was a CROOKED, THIEVING DOUCHEBAG.

Also voted for him then went over to Reform because he was just another lawyer from Quebec.

I didn't vote for free trade nearly as much as I voted for his 1987 White Paper. But the Wall fell a year later and he reneged on almost every defence promise in it.

I sure as hell didn't vote for a seven year pay freeze, while he and his MP's continued to get theirs.

But we're not talking about Liberal dirtbags, are we? We're talking about Mulroney. There have been plenty of corrupt politicians in our nation's history, across all parties, but Mulroney certainly takes the title. Corrupt Liberals may have been "dirtbags", but Mulroney is the only DOUCHEBAG.
