Half is good... but the other half is complete trash that I wouldn't wipe my ass with.
If this what Iggy believes, Harper has my vote already, I don't care what kind of platform Iggy puts out.

Since no one knows what the Liberal policy on anything is, I guess this will have to do for now.

Ya know, for such an educated man so bent on power in Canada, he sure speaks a lot of nothing.

I have a friend who works in the bowels of democracy (he works on election campaigns and media strategies and stuff). It's his considered opinion that alll politicans are completely self-absorbed. he also thinks that many of them suffer from various forms of social dysfunction as well.
So I have no trouble believeing that Ignatieff is arrogant. Given his considerable talents, you could even argue he's got good reason to be.

I find this hilarious since that's the same claim about Harper even from within the party. In the radically partisan Conservative crowd, it's been considered a positive and yet in Ignatieff’s case exactly the same behaviour is a negative? Go figure......

$1: So the Conservatives’ principled stand against China based on its human rights abuses is dismissed as a cheap grab for votes. From who, the huge Canadian Taiwanese community? Ignatieff is far more upset that we’re not angling for more trade with Beijing, as the Chretien government did so vociferously, because human rights can always be ignored when money’s on the line. Geez, wasn't Baird just in Beijing trying to get them to buy Canadian? Oh yeah, he was; http://geo.international.gc.ca/asia/chi ... x?id=14353At least if you're going to be biased, get your facts straight...

They'd bitch if he went and they'd bitch if he didn't. The fact that I didn't write anything in that proves you didn't read it so who's laughing now?

Zipperfish Zipperfish: Given his considerable talents, you could even argue he's got good reason to be. True, but for the anti-intellectual, dropout crowd, anything that smells of "educated" and "academic" brings out their deep set insecurities.

The man can be as educated as all get out but Canadians need a platform to judge parties with, not the leaders reputation. .. that is of course IF Iggy can force his selfish election.

All voters judge a leader, reputation and all. And for the platform, why give the other parties any talking points BEFORE an election?

Good point. I think that Ghaw'ron became Chancellor of the Klingon Empire precisely because no one knew anything about him and too much about the other candidates. Note to politicians: don't reveal yourself until Ground Hog Day and no one'll get too pissed off at ya.
