Kenmore with 22 more seats about to be added to the HOC, none of which in Quebec, the balance of power will shift away from Quebec and the west will have have more say in National politics, unfortunately the big ugly hole in the centre (Ontario)has too much political power.

Well, we DO have a third of the nation's population so, of course, we have the bulk of the political power here. If the west would start taking its share of Asian immigration, maybe that wouldn't be the case. But that's the group that shows strongest support for the Liberals. As for Ontario being a "big, ugly hole", I'm not sure what you mean. :?

I'm relaxed. You don't have to explain to a rural Ontarian what Toronto is. We suffer a whole lot worse from Toronto than anyone outside of Ontario. Toronto is a black-hole of politics and public funding. Just be happy you're not getting ass-fucked by Toronto at the Provincial level as well. We Ontarians outside of the GTA get a double-raping. Want to guess how much of my provincial taxes go to the GTA? The answer is "almost every dollar."

But Ontario is a beautiful place. What I was objecting to was your description of my home as an "ugly hole".

And you are an expert in Québec Politics I take it..? Québec's vote make or break a majority government and harper is on the losing end of that.. he screwed himself in Québec for a long time to come...

Our biaised separatist medias does anything it can to make whatever party is leading the country look evil and praise Duceppe like if he's the son of God that came to save the quebecers from the federal governement, of course we're far behind.

And with our socialist, lazy, little mentality, we're not gonna vote for a governement that would force us to get off the couch and start doing something productive.

So yeah, we're pretty retarded...

Doesn't help Ignatieff's image at all. He is getting a reputation for reversing himsellf (Iraq, torture, taxes) and now this. It's only a few days ago he said there would be no Quebec lieutenant. It won't be long before the Tories start calling him Mr Dithers, Part II.

The Libs need a credible leader, elected after a proper leadership convention, a platform that the public at least can gnaw on, and a lot of new blood.

Iggy as you call him is doing just fine in Québec thank you... unlike harper

I think what's happening is that Libs who parked with the Tories during the Dion regime might be going back home. You have to assume that the Liberals will get their Quebec organization back in shape. With that they could pick up a few seats from the Bloc and unless Harper does something the Tories will lose some of those seats they have in the Quebec City area.
