Can't speak for the "liberals" but being a liberal I can say I've never hated the US. Cheney is as close to hating as I've come.

I thoroughly dislike a great deal of American TV and culture and am very upset with Harper's cuts to our Canadian TV and culture and filling the void with American shit.

Cheney is gone and if Harper goes then maybe these things will improve.

You could not have actually read the link Akhenanten gave since the first line of it says the page is talking about DUal Citizenship. The page then ends saying one can voluntarily give up US citizenship when they take out Canadain IF they want. Which means they don't have to.

Plus I lived with someone in college who was Dual US / Can cit, even saw both her passports, how's that happen?

Oh and I have an in-law with Dual US Canadian Citizenship, then there was the time I worked for CIC and kinda knew some things about immigration.

Thing is, if you aggressively defend false information in a debate, swearing it to be true, it kinda makes people wonder about the rest of what you are saying is a fact.

Another reason I tend to loathe the Liberals.... the men and the women of the CF put their lives on the line for us, yet according to the Liberals we should fear them.

When the "soldiers on our streets" ad came out I was more disgusted with them than I ever have before or since. One of their ultimate low points.

Thanks for posting the ad Saturn. Did you also notice that the words at the end of the ad make Harper look like Hitler.

The Liberals are the kings of attack ads and now that the Conservatives are using their own dirty tricks against them, they don't like it. This was the election that changed me from voting Liberal to Conservative. Up until that point, I voted Liberal my whole life. Federally anyway.
