Er, never.
But we need to acknowledge that.
Once we can deal with the ancient hatred we both have, we can move on.
In Canada we have never dealt with the ethnic hatred that the Quebecios have to Anglo-Canada, we just make excuses for it.
It would be better all around if we just coughed to the fact that the we don't like them and they don't like us.
Let's try and change it all. 250 years is a really long time to have an argument.
I agree with this to an extent, but inter-marriage and the hundreds of thousands of Anglo-French or Franco-English (whatever way you want to put it) that show that many of Canada's population has both French and British ancestry proves that there are some at least on either side of the language line that do like the other. What we both have to do (Anglos and French that is) is get over the "us and them" mentality, how I have no idea.
