I'm slightly right of centre and have no problems with people that are gay, nor any problem with civil unions between same sex couples. What ever makes a person happy and as long as they aren't hurting themselves nor anyone else.

So this crap that people on the right are anti-gay is horse shit. Shit we even have a member who is openly gay on the forum and last time I saw he had a conservative icon next to his profile.

It's a lefty plot mate. Some of the more partisan types can't stomach the fact that gay marriage/union/whatever is fine by most who are right of centre.

Y'see, these loser partisan types think we all can be put into little slots and forget that we are individuals, with individual opinions.

I'll leave the group-think to the social engineers.

Not so much horseshit. Fundamentalists tend to be anti-gay; Fundamentalists tend to be conservatives.

Biblesmasher Biblesmasher:
If you think its ok for straight people to marry legally and not gays when they would like to then yeah sorry thats anti gay.

Yes sir Definition Nazi. Churches should have the choice to marry whoever the hell they like. Catholic churches don't remarry people who have been divorced unless they went through religious channels.

Oh wait, does violating religious rights somehow doesn't matter when it come to gays? Awesome. *rolls eyes*

$1:
But if youre against the government being involved in marriage at all then thats consistent and im obviously then not talking about you.

I think governments should hand out legal documents stating whatever. They're unionized, married, fucked for life, whatever. Don't care. No group should have any right to force their views upon another, that includes gays and anti-religion bigots like yourself to force their views upon Catholics, Christians, Jews, Hindus, whoever.

$1:
its not an "anti gay group" but A)it opposes gay marriage

So what? Being opposed to gay marriage doesn't mean you want gays hanged, oppressed, whatever else.

$1:
and beyond that has an awful lot of people like Jerry "gayness is an abomination"Falwell as members. (You know this, stop being Coy.)

Once again, so what? There are plenty of things and groups within, or affiliated the Democratic Party that I hate, unlike you, I don't judge the entire party by said group.

[quoote]I never hear people like her denouncing the various pastors that are members of her party. So she needs to stfu about it in this instance then. Dont you think? Or is consistency not something desirable.[/quote]

Wait wait. You, Mr. Biblesmasher, wants ME, a Catholic (not affiliated with the batshit Protestant elements of the United States) to denounce Protestants? Fuck that. There's no group mentality. I don't have to denounce anybody that I don't agree, group, or associate with.

And, once again? Who cares. They can believe what they want.

Nope. Sorry.
I have a little reservation over the use of the word "marriage but definitely not the legal differences or details.

If a Roman Catholic says it, he's a red neck bigot... however a Muslim is allowed freedom of expression because of his religious beliefs....

Bodah Bodah:
Reason 1254 why the UN is useless. Shouldn't this guy be booted for these remarks after all he is the President of UN GA. If it was a white guy making the remarks I'm sure there would be global uproar from most countries, why the silence ?

Because hes not white, according to all other races and unfortunetly even white people. White people are the only ones capable of racism and hateful beliefs or atleast the only ones not allowed to express them without consequences. It's a great life isn't it?

It would appear that we white guys are getting the message.
We are bad.
All bad things that happened in the world are because of white guys.
English speaking ones...the non English speakers did the odd bad thing but, hey we were and are the worst.

No kidding. What's a tv gonna watch you do, snore on the couch?
Far easier to use webcams, internet bots and snoop on cell phones without a warrant.
And the new Islamic bogeyman is way scarier. Half of America's hiding under their beds and couldn't give two shits about privacy and liberty. Half of the rest are marching against Obama's Socialist plots.
Waaahhh!! Sweden might take us over. Waaahhhh!!!!
