There used to be a lovely rye whisky made locally called Alberta Springs. It came in a cute little cedar box with a sliding lid. One of my friends had about a dozen of the boxes that he used to store his weed in. The mix of the cedar and weed aromas was quite intoxicating.
I keep a silk tassel from the whisky of the same name on my hunting rifle, because for some reason I go all hillbilly when I drink it. It is a reminder not to mix rifles and Silk Tassel.
It's funny, because growing up we always though of it as the cheap stuff, because it was almost always the cheapest at the ALCB.
I just think it's better in a rye and ginger than Canadian Club.
