Sorry I didn't match the amazing first post you made.
This isn't a new pracitice, nor is it just limited to one political party despite Kermit's shrill rhetoric. The people involved in these descisions should be made to drink unfiltered water from these lakes on a daily basis.
Maybe it isnt new practice...but its one that should stop. point is this government has a dismal track record on the environment and a billion other issues.. if Harper gave a shit about more than himself he would be doing a better job on the environment

That's quite easy for you to say without having to balance economy and employment as well.

No, of course its not a new practise. The thing is the government, Conservative or not should be stepping in to do something about this. And if it has to become an election issue in order for something to be done, all the better. We need to make changes to loop-holes like this.

Those are important issues as well Ruez, but something has to be done about the way waste like this is dealt with. And dumping it into our fresh water lakes is not the way to do it. Oh, my earlier comment was meant to stave off the stabbing at each other politically because we all know something like this cannot happen to our water.

Sorry RUEZ I just can't take that statement at face value, as you are the one who states that Canada's economy and vast amount of jobs available are all because of the Tory Gov't and NAFTA.
So making Haper's political contributors, sorry big business pay for proper clean up shouldn't hurt his inspectible record then, should it?

I agree, Kenmore just brings out the worst in me. This article actually surprises me because just last year a mine was refused permission for this very reason, in northern BC. They wanted to use a lake as a tailings dump.

You show me where I've said this and we'll continue this discussion.
