Good for them, sticking it to those religous people. Telling them you don't have to have faith in god to be a good person. You just have to have faith in yourself and other people.

I agree with the protesters. If one religious group can advertise its beliefs ala church and door knockers then so can atheists advertise their message. It is clearly discrimination and no amount of chest thumping by Christians et al is going to change that. Just because it shocks does not make the message any less salient and valuable. The message is simple, pure truth. Detractors have argued that we (Canada) have adopted Christianity as a national religion so others should just shut up if they disagree.....Sorry but no one asked me if I wanted a religion to be a part of this country.....Unanimous it ain't.

Actually, whether one believes in a higher power or not is of no real importance. It is how one conducts themselves with others that matters. I have friends who are athiests and finer folk you'll never meet. I also know some 'christians' who 'I wouldn't piss on if they were on fire'!

Umm...that's a bit different from advertising on city buses, just saying. Door knockers/solicitors and churches are private groups/individuals. Nobody forces you to enter a church or listen to door knockers.

Ads are a part of capitalistic society. Peddling region is still selling a product. Since we can not dare be absolutist in our measure (we can't remove Christ from Christmas for example) then who are we to complain when the atheists want to post ads on public transit?

You're analogy is a bit off. I'd more say bald is a hair style, specifically, the lack of it. Atheism, especially by its followers and preachers, has taken a form of religion in its own right.

If it hasn't, there would be no need for you to spread the word of atheism whenever you see fit, like if you have something to prove to all of those who are non-atheist.
