Bernier came under even more intense scrutiny after the media discovered that his girlfriend Julie Couillard had past romantic links with members of the Hells Angels. Although the Prime Minister initially dismissed this as irrelevant, he later accepted Bernier's resignation when it was revealed that Bernier had left sensitive briefing notes for an upcoming NATO meeting at Couillard's house after having broken off the relationship. Foreign Affairs was apparently unaware that NATO briefing papers were missing for five weeks. Couillard returned the package to Foreign Affairs on the advice of a lawyer, and went to the media. The Liberals and the NDP are calling for a Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) investigation into possible security breaches, including Bernier's.

Okay, my bad. I forgot all about the forgettable Bernier. The differnce though is that Bernier is dumb and didn't think, whereas any NDP member would do it with intent.

Keep in mind that the NDP is the party who had some members trying to get all CF members who had served in Afghanistan labelled as war criminals. Anything that would hinder our forces would be right up their alley.

It was at a general party meeting a couple of years ago. It was shot down by Jack, but it is reflective of some of their membership. Take a quick read over at Babble on any military subject, and you'll see why I feel like I do about the NDP.

Yet the Libs are called anti-military too and as I recall even Dion told Jack to stuff it when he said something considered anti-military (can't recall what at the moment). Then there is the whole Martin rebuilding the military (after fixing the budget) so you'll forgive me if I think you are being a tad bit partisan about this.

Now mind you there are more then a couple members of ole Harpers party who are thoroughly anti-choice, anti-homosexual, and would like nothing better then to have the bible make its way into all schools and government so you can understand why I feel the way I do about them.
