Dan Boyle's third-period goal lifted the San Jose Sharks to a 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks in the first game of their Western Conference quarter-final series Wednesday night.
Hu, I remember you stating you were a Lafs fan before....
Perhaps you forgot my ribbing of Canucks fan during the Stanley Cup loss to the Bruins?
Always been partial to the Bruins and Red Wings and reluctantly to the home-town Leafs. Despite growing up in Toronto, the first NHL game I saw was at Joe Louis. I do like watching hockey in general and have been to a couple Leaf games. I would like to see the Leafs do well, but against a team like Boston, I don't think the match up very well.

....Yeah well, I'm even having a tough time being a Canucks fan this year and that's saying a lot since I've been one, non stop, since they came into the league. I wish I still had my Canucks pennant from the 1970-71 season. (I was a wee lad back then... )
With the media hype of the Luongo BS and the lack of drive and character the team has shown this year, I'm a very reluctant fan to say the least. I hate to say it, but I'm hoping for the Islanders this year even though I know they don't have a snowballs chance in hell against the Pens.
I'm staying away from the playoff threads altogether this year. There's enough of the A-B-C (anyone-but-canucks) stuff going around and I won't contribute to it, mostly because the Canucks are probably going to be doing enough damage to themselves over the next four or five games. No joy here and I'm not going to rub it in this time around.
Sedins: 2 Girls No Cup
How did the Leafs do?
Oh....right.

If you love them, why don't you marry them?

Yay Sharks!
Just as these unfortunate airbourne Canucks fans found out.
...or something.
