Speaker John Boehner resigns after weeping as Pope Francis addressed US Congress

The GOP leader seemed relieved this afternoon as he spoke to reporters, singing Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah as he took the podium at an afternoon presser. 'My, oh, my what a wonderful day,' he said.

I prefer the way Conservative Blogger "Fire Andrea Mitchell" puts it.

"Unstable drunk John Boehner to resign

Goodbye, so long and thanks for the fish weepy John Boehner. After recently calling conservatives "bad garbage" the Drunk of the House has decided to step down from Speaker and resign entirely for Congress. Great news.

Last week there were rumblings about a conservative coup against Boehner and the Speakership. Boehner, knowing more than we will ever know about decided he was too old and too drunk to fight the coup and announced today he is stepping down as Speaker/Drunk of the House and will resign from Congress October 30th. Good riddance you drunk."

Typical TeaBircher Repulsican lack of class to so viciously turn on the guy that was responsible for gerrymandering so many districts that he created a congressional majority they never deserved out of thin air for them.

Tea partiers didn't turn on that guy. They always hated him. McConnell too.

And anything the Republican establishment was able to do they can thank grassroots for. Not the other way around.
