An Edmonton soldierï¿½s emotional battle to have his beloved service dog at his side received some much-needed support Wednesday from Canadaï¿½s top general and the defence minister.

The same rules should apply as for civilian service dogs, ie I believe they are allowed just about anywhere. But he needs to get his dog certified for when he's off base. I think the regulation that requires dogs to be certified is a good one.
