Pearson International Airport's newest runway lacks proper safety margins and falls short of international standards, Air France alleges in a lawsuit following the dramatic 2005 crash of one of its jets at the site.

if they thought it was that unsafe they should not have been flying there. Thousands if not millions of AC of similar type have made xxx number of takeoff and landings with no issues.

BS lawsuit.

Always looking for someone to blaim... Anyone who flies will tell you that it's not a surefire, 100% science. I do believe 80% of all aviation incidents are the result of pilot error... and it's not like Air France has the most amazing safety record, either.
